This website contains information about Glapthorn Church - what we do, how to join in, and what we offer in relation to "life events". The headings under the picture of the village at the top of each page should point you in the right direction. If you can't find what you need, contact a churchwarden.
Where a word is underlined in the text (as with "life events" and "contact" just above), if you click on it, another page or website will open automatically in a new tab.
There is practical information, for example, about:
- fees;
- fundraising/giving;
- rotas;
- arranging weddings;
- arranging funerals;
look under About us.
For events, click on the entry shown in the box on the Homepage or Calendar for more information about the event concerned. To see what is happening in the benefice (the group of three parishes: Oundle, Benefield, and Glapthorn), click here.
Services are shown under "events" and there is more detail here (when and what sort of service) and here (what happens during services).
As well as being a village church, we are part of something vastly bigger. We belong to the worldwide Anglican communion (which numbers more than 70 million). Christianity is by far the world's largest religion - having grown from a handful of Galileans 2,000 years ago to a faith with more than 2 billion followers (about one third of the world's population) to be found in virtually every country in the world. Click here to find out more.
This site can also be used for private worship. Services, which are suitable for different times of day and are changed daily, can be followed, here.
